About the Author
Dr. Suraksha Agrawal, Ph.D (Population Genetics) formerly Professor and Head, Department of Medical Genetics, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. She got trained with Prof. Hans Grosse Wilde at the University of Essen, West Germany in Immunogenetics and Prof Heinz Schaller Stiftung in the Department of Molecular Virology at DKFZ Heidelberg. Her main area of interest is immunogenetics . She provided service to the SGPGIMS in Kidney and Bone Marrow transplant programmes. She has published more than 250 research papers in international and national journals of repute, four books and several book chapters. She has been awarded Best Paper Awards in the Annals of Human Biology two times, in 2010 and 2011. She was a member of BSHI and ASHI for several years. Dr. Sarabjeet Mastana, Ph.D (Human Genetics), M.Phil, M.Sc. Hons. (Biological Anthropology), presently serving as Senior Lecturer in Human Genetics and Human Biology, Department of Human Sciences, Loughborough University, Leics UK. His area of research interests are molecular and biochemical genetic studies in East Midlands human populations, molecular genetic studies in health and disease, a polipoprotein polymorphisms in disease and health, genetic studies in rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, CAD, human population genetic studies of isolates, biochemical and morphological variation, forensic and paternity work. He has published number of research papers in international journals of repute and also presented various research papers in several International conferences.
